The Bachelor is one of tv’s hottest gossip-reality-tv productions. Modeled on the highly successful American franchise, we helped The Bachelor Canada create a custom identity and flashy brand package to support the franchise launch and ongoing branded communications.
The creative team evolved the parent identity to contain subtle Canadian elements; designing a maple leaf into the diamond ring, consciously leading creative applications with red, and using traditional Canadiana subjects throughout. This added a national perspective while still maintaining a connection with the theme and colour of love. The visual interpretation of passion and lust was brought to life with soft, swirling, flowing graphic elements (that also provide advertising identifiers to help own the brand).
Brand standards guides were then built to support the visual toolkit for all internal design departments, design agencies and external corporate partners. Visual elements were applied to on-air, print material, digital, social, and mobile advertising mediums.
